DEDAN KIMATHI UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY HOSTS THE KNMF
Kenya Music Festival under the Auspices of the Ministry of Education kicked- off a special composition English Choral verse – class 1042J themed “Furthering of National Education Goals Through the Provision of Quality Science and Technology Equipment in schools”. School Equipment Production Unit in its quest to be a leader in nurturing learners potential was the official sponsor of the category whose theme resonated well with this years’ festival theme “Nurturing talent for Innovation and development”. Equipment and materials are inseparable with the learning of science. This was the message that underlined the relationship between Kenya Music Festival and SEPU. Regional champions of the category squared it out for the judges to uniquely single out the best piece.

THE KNMF CHAMPIONS
Metkei Girls Secondary school from Elgeyo Marakwet, Rift valley region are this years’ National Kenya Music Festival champions of English Choral verse class 1042J securing a date for the Gala.
“It is God”, said Mrs. Rosemary Kuto, the school Principal amid giggles. This category was sponsored by School Equipment Production Unit whose mandate and the theme resonated well. Schools from other regions put – up spirited fight in battling for the winners position. Pomp, color, glamour, power and humor were witnessed as different schools took the stage to show – case their pieces.
Our savior, white gloves, generous giver were some of the titles swung referring to SEPU.
Indeed, equipment and materials are inseparable with the learning of Science.
Dedan Kimathi Universitys’ hall 6 had contestants, judges, facilitators, some officials and SEPU team donned in SEPU branded t – shirts, SEPU elephantly stamping it’s feet.
SEPU boss – Dr. Joel Mabonga, Board of Directors Chairman, Dr. Patrick Kiliku and other SEPU team were in attendance.
